She was born in Istanbul in 1986. She graduated in 2007 from New York University’s Department of Media, Culture, and Communication. For nearly twenty years, she has been involved in the publishing industry, taking on various roles such as book editor, editor for literary and cultural websites, and translator. She worked as a world literature editor at Everest Publishing and Can Publishing. She served as the editor of Granta Turkey and of canyayinlari.com, a cultural portal. She was the editor-in-chief of The Art Newspaper Turkey. She has translated works by authors such as Virginia Woolf, Jane Austen, Shirley Jackson, John Steinbeck, George Orwell, Terry Eagleton, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Her articles have been published in various print and online media outlets such as Aposto, Dadanizm, The Art Newspaper Turkey, K24, Radikal Kitap, Notos, and Sanatatak. She is the founding editor-in-chief of the culture and arts website Koltukname. She co-hosts the Flu Kitap Kulübü with Gülse Angışlan and İlker Canikligil, and organizes Yan Yana Kitap Sohbetleri with Elif Bereketli.
