Mert Tanaydın

Mert Tanaydın, born in 1977, studied Political Science and European Union Studies. A trilingual editor (Turkish, English, and French), he has over 25 years of publishing experience. Starting his career at YKY (Yapı Kredi Yayınları), he has worked both in-house and as a freelance editor for numerous publishing houses, including Merkez Kitaplar, Sel, Kırmızı Kedi, Kolektif, and Sia. Most recently, he managed the İthaki Modern series for two years.

Throughout his career, he has prepared works for publication by authors such as José Saramago, J.M.G. Le Clézio, John Banville, Judith Hermann, İsmail Kadare, Naguib Mahfouz, Sylvia Plath, Günter Grass, Virginia Woolf, Hernan Diaz, Richard Powers, Michel Houellebecq, Yan Lianke, Kobo Abe, Enis Batur, and Tomris Uyar.

As a literary critic, his essays and reviews have appeared in numerous literary magazines and book review platforms, including Kitaplık, Akşamlık, Radikal Kitap, Sabitfikir, Milliyet Kitap, Sabah Kitap, Cumhuriyet Kitap, K24, and Diken.

He currently works as a freelance editor and is preparing his first book.
