Filiz Aygündüz was born in 1971 in İstanbul. She graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Department of Mathematics. She worked as a freelance reporter for various art and women’s magazines. She has two novels, Kaç Zil Kaldı Öğretmenim and Prens Prensesi Sevmedi, and a book of interview called Gel Hayattan Konuşalım that she prepared with psychiatrist Alper Hasanoğlu. She worked as the arts and culture reporter at Milliyet Newspaper, and she still works as the editor-in-chief in Milliyet Sanat and Milliyet Kitap.
